An Augusta man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for drug and firearm offenses. Ryan Partridge, aged 35, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge John A. Woodcock, Jr. in Bangor's U.S. District Court. The sentence includes 204 months of imprisonment followed by four years of supervised release.

The charges against Partridge stem from a July 2023 incident when he was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by Augusta Police Department officers. During the search, authorities found a backpack containing approximately 125 grams of fentanyl and a 9mm pistol. Partridge admitted ownership of the backpack and its contents.

Court records indicate that Partridge is a career criminal with 12 prior convictions, including two drug felonies. At the time of his arrest, he was on probation for a 2019 conviction related to aggravated trafficking of fentanyl and had an outstanding warrant for failing to report a change of address.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI and U.S. Border Patrol, with support from the Augusta Police Department.
