Attorney General Dave Sunday has announced charges against Paul Menditto, a magisterial district judge from Pike County. The 70-year-old from Bushkill faces allegations of indecent assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment stemming from an incident in August at a barber shop near Milford.
Menditto was charged on Friday with one misdemeanor count of indecent assault and two summary counts related to the alleged assault of a shop employee. He has been released on his own recognizance.
"The alleged conduct is egregious and unlawful for anyone — let alone a sworn officer of the court who presides over criminal matters," stated Attorney General Sunday. "No one should go to work fearing they will be harassed and assaulted while on the job."
The investigation indicates that Menditto visited the barber shop on August 2, 2024, for a haircut when he allegedly kissed a female employee on the neck without her consent. Multiple witnesses were present during the incident.
Deputy Attorney General Rachael Coleman is prosecuting the case. It is important to note that Menditto is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
