Tyleeya Williams, a 22-year-old from Philadelphia, has been sentenced to 40 years in prison with lifetime supervised release for child sexual abuse and multiple child pornography offenses. The sentence was handed down by United States District Court Judge Gerald J. Pappert.

Williams faced charges in May 2023, including the manufacture and attempted manufacture of child pornography, two counts of distribution of child pornography, and possession of child pornography. She pleaded guilty to all charges in June last year.

In her guilty plea, Williams admitted to sexually abusing a one-year-old girl under her care. She planned the abuse with another offender she communicated with online. Williams documented the abuse through photographs and distributed these images over the internet. Additionally, she trafficked thousands of images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of other children.

U.S. Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero commented on the case: "Tyleeya Williams was entrusted with the care and protection of this little girl, but instead sexually abused and exploited her." Romero emphasized that while the sentence cannot undo the harm caused, it serves as justice for the victims.

The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. This program coordinates resources at federal, state, and local levels to apprehend offenders who exploit children online.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI, with prosecution led by Assistant United States Attorney Michelle Rotella.
