Tampa, Florida – United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg has announced the indictment of Kodi Glenn Simon and Kateri Ann Simon on charges of involuntary manslaughter. Both individuals, aged 30 and hailing from Ohio, face a potential maximum sentence of eight years in federal prison if found guilty.

The indictment alleges that in 2022, the Simons unlawfully killed Victim 1 without malice at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. It is important to note that an indictment is a formal charge indicating alleged violations of federal criminal law, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
