A Browning man has been sentenced to 13 years in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release for sexually abusing a child and sending obscene material to minors, according to U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich.

Treston Lane Kickingwoman, aged 29, pleaded guilty in September 2024 to charges including one count of abusive sexual contact and two counts of transferring obscene material to a minor. Chief U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris presided over the case.

Court documents reveal that the victim, referred to as Jane Doe 1, disclosed the abuse in 2022. She reported that when she was approximately six years old, in either 2014 or 2015, Kickingwoman abused her while they were at a house in Browning. The incident ceased when another person began moving in the room.

In March 2024, an FBI online covert employee posed as a juvenile on Facebook and communicated with Kickingwoman. He sent explicit images and videos of himself and solicited similar content from the persona. A search of his Facebook account showed he had sent nude pictures to numerous accounts. Two juvenile girls' accounts were identified on the Blackfeet Reservation—Jane Doe 2 and Jane Doe 3—who confirmed messaging with him during summer 2023 when they were told he was aware they were underage.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office prosecuted this case with the investigation conducted by the FBI.
