Victor Wayne Andrew Artussee, a 31-year-old resident of Okemah, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to two felony assault charges. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma reported that Artussee admitted guilt to one count of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Do Bodily Harm in Indian Country and another count of Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Harm in Indian Country.
The indictment against Artussee stated that on May 11, 2024, he assaulted an individual using a dangerous weapon with the intent to cause bodily harm. These offenses took place in Okfuskee County within the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Reservation boundaries, located in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
An investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation alongside the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Police led to these charges.
U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow accepted Artussee's plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report has been ordered by Judge Snow. Following this decision, Artussee was placed under the custody of the United States Marshals Service as he awaits sentencing.
