A federal jury has found Flint Donavan Luster, 36, guilty of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. The conviction was announced in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
"This investigation shows the collaborative effort of law enforcement working together to keep the citizens in our communities safe by keeping drugs off our streets," stated U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson.
The case dates back to September 2023 when Luster was stopped by a Tulsa County Sheriff's deputy for a traffic violation. During the stop, it was discovered that the truck he was driving had been reported stolen, leading to his arrest. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed over 400 grams of methamphetamine.
Further evidence presented during the trial included findings from a search warrant executed at Luster's residence. Authorities uncovered cash, scales, firearms, and additional quantities of methamphetamine.
Luster will remain in federal custody as he awaits sentencing on an undisclosed future date.
The investigation involved multiple agencies including the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Payne County Sheriff’s Office, and Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office. The prosecution team consisted of Assistant U.S. Attorneys Adam Bailey and Attila Bogdan.
