A woman from Sioux City has admitted to her role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy. Celeste Seaton, 40, entered a guilty plea on January 7, 2025, in federal court in Sioux City. She was convicted of conspiring to distribute more than 40 kilograms of methamphetamine.

During the plea hearing, Seaton acknowledged that she and others conspired over five months in 2023 to distribute over three pounds of pure methamphetamine in the Sioux City area. On three occasions during that year, she distributed more than 750 grams of pure methamphetamine to an individual cooperating with law enforcement. Additionally, Seaton confessed to being involved in methamphetamine trafficking for several years and obtaining and distributing a total of 100 pounds of the drug from a supplier connected to Arizona.

Sentencing will take place before United States District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand after a presentence report is completed. Seaton remains in custody under the United States Marshal pending sentencing. She faces a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years’ imprisonment, with the possibility of life imprisonment, a $10 million fine, and at least five years of supervised release following any prison term.
