Ardmore man pleads guilty to federal firearm possession charge

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has reported that Michael Adrian Wrenn, a 36-year-old resident of Ardmore, Oklahoma, has pled guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

According to the Information filed, Wrenn was found in possession of a semiautomatic 9mm caliber pistol on December 9, 2023. This occurred after he had previously been convicted of a crime punishable by more than one year in prison.

The investigation leading to this charge was conducted by the Ardmore Police Department along with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow accepted Wrenn's plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The judge has ordered a presentence investigation report and Wrenn will remain under the custody of the United States Marshals Service until sentencing.
