Foreign national pleads guilty to unlawful reentry in Oklahoma

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has announced that Adelby Isloa Martinez Mendez, a 35-year-old from Honduras, pleaded guilty to unlawful reentry of a removed alien.

According to the indictment, Martinez Mendez was found in the United States on or about March 5, 2024, after having been deported and removed on two previous occasions. The investigation leading to these charges was conducted by the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office along with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Jason A. Robertson of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma accepted the plea and ordered a presentence investigation report. Martinez Mendez will remain in custody under the United States Marshals Service until sentencing.
