OAH Director Tim Dawson announces retirement after three decades

Tim Dawson, Director of the Office of Administrative Hearings and an Administrative Law Judge, is set to retire on January 3, 2025. Dawson began his career in North Dakota state government in 1994 as counsel for the Legislative Council. He was appointed as director of the Office of Administrative Hearings on December 21, 2015, a role he has held alongside serving as a full-time administrative law judge. Recently, Dawson marked three decades of service within state government.

To honor his retirement, colleagues, friends, and family will convene at the North Dakota State Capitol's 18th floor on Thursday, January 2, 2025. The gathering will take place from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
