Robert Carl Ward, a 69-year-old resident of Vian, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 120 months in prison for possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. This announcement was made by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The case was investigated by the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. On January 2, 2024, agents found Ward with gallon-size baggies containing crystalline methamphetamine, digital gram-weight scales, and smaller plastic baggies also filled with crystalline methamphetamine. In total, he possessed over 575 grams of methamphetamine.
Ward pleaded guilty on June 3, 2024. The Honorable Ronald A. White presided over the hearing in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Ward will remain in custody until he is transported to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve his non-paroleable sentence.
