Fox Rothschild is pleased to welcome Joseph D.D. Sweeny to the New York office as counsel in the Litigation Department.
Sweeny represents clients in commercial, corporate and white-collar criminal matters in state and federal courts, arbitration and mediation.
A skillful litigator, Sweeny guides clients through all stages of the dispute resolution process. He defends and prosecutes matters including, contract disputes, product liability, sales, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, antitrust/unfair competition and collections, among others.
Sweeny also defends individuals in white-collar criminal prosecutions and enforcement actions brought by federal agencies and assists with internal investigations and compliance.
In his corporate law practice, Sweeny represents venture capital and private equity clients, from start-ups to international business ventures. He regularly handles board member and shareholder disputes.
Sweeny earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law and his B.A. from Michigan State University. He is fluent in Spanish.
Prior to joining Fox, Sweeny was an associate at Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
