United States Attorney Will Thompson is set to recognize over 80 law enforcement professionals at the 2024 Law Enforcement Awards Ceremony. The event will take place on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Robert C. Byrd U.S. Courthouse in Charleston.
The ceremony is an annual event that highlights the exceptional service of federal, state, and local law enforcement officers who have significantly contributed to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of West Virginia through their work on various cases and initiatives.
Awards will be presented by Thompson for outstanding achievements in major cases involving drug crimes, violent crimes, white-collar crimes, and the sexual exploitation of minors. Additional honors include awards for Law Enforcement Officers of the Year, Drug and Violent Crime Task Force of the Year, and Outstanding Community Partner.
The ceremony will allow cameras and other recording devices on the fifth floor of the courthouse exclusively for this event.
