The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced charges against Craig Coins, Jr., 30, and Aubreanna Odendahl, 26, both from Mississippi. They face allegations related to conspiracy, sex trafficking of a minor, transportation of a minor for sexual activities, and production of child pornography.

United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam stated that the indictment claims the minor was transported from Mississippi to Tioga County, Pennsylvania in April. The alleged criminal activities occurred between March and May 2023 in Tioga County and other locations.

The investigation was conducted by the Wellsboro Police Department, Mississippi Capitol Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Alisan V. Martin is leading the prosecution.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to address child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project coordinates federal, state, and local resources to prosecute offenders and rescue victims. More information about Project Safe Childhood can be found at www.usdoj.gov/psc.

Federal law allows for a maximum penalty of life imprisonment for these charges, along with supervised release after imprisonment and potential fines. Sentencing follows a finding of guilt based on federal sentencing statutes and guidelines.

It is important to note that indictments are merely allegations; all individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
