Shaquill Morris, a 34-year-old inmate at FCI Schuylkill, has been sentenced to two years in prison for possessing a weapon while incarcerated. The sentence was handed down by United States District Court Judge Joseph F. Saporito, Jr.

The incident occurred on July 26, 2024, when a corrections officer observed Morris using a cellphone. A subsequent search revealed that Morris had two shanks in his possession. This new sentence will be served consecutively to the 216-month sentence he is already serving from the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigations and the Special Investigative Services of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Assistant U.S. Attorney Todd K. Hinkley led the prosecution.

United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam provided details about the case and confirmed the involvement of federal agencies in investigating and prosecuting this matter.
