A former officer from Coffeewood Correctional Center in Mitchells, Virginia, has been sentenced to 40 years in federal prison for charges related to child sexual exploitation and child pornography. Davey Jonathan Sisk, aged 30 and a resident of Culpeper, Virginia, admitted guilt in June to two counts of sexually exploiting and attempting to exploit a child, alongside one count of receiving child pornography.
Court documents reveal that Sisk utilized the social media app "Telegram" to coordinate with Anna Layher for the creation and delivery of explicit content involving minors. These materials included victims as young as three years old. Anna Layher was prosecuted separately in the Eastern District of Virginia and also received a 40-year sentence in September 2024.
Furthermore, between 2021 and 2022, a 12-year-old minor from Texas was involved in selling videos and images of sexual encounters with another minor via social media platforms like Snapchat. Sisk confessed to using the Snapchat username “JAKESMOOT2021” and transferring over $450 through Cash App for these explicit materials.
The announcement came from United States Attorney Christopher R. Kavanaugh. The investigation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations based in Harrisonburg, VA, and Washington, D.C., while Assistant U.S. Attorney Sally J. Sullivan handled the prosecution.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse through coordinated efforts across various governmental levels.
