U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans | U.S. Department of Justice

U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans announced that Jayden D. D. Hall, a 23-year-old from Harvey, Louisiana, has been sentenced for federal crimes related to child sexual abuse. Hall had previously pleaded guilty to one count of production of materials involving the sexual exploitation of children and three counts of transportation of such materials.

According to court documents, Hall created videos depicting child sexual abuse and distributed them through social media accounts on the internet. United States District Judge Jay C. Zainey sentenced Hall to 25 years in prison for the production count and 20 years for each transportation count, with all sentences running concurrently. Additionally, Hall will face five years of supervised release following his imprisonment and must pay a $100 mandatory special assessment fee for each count.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project involves collaboration between federal, state, and local resources to locate and prosecute individuals exploiting children online while also identifying victims.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office acknowledged the assistance provided by several agencies: the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Homeland Security Investigations; the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation; the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office Strategic Engagement Team; and the New Orleans Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicholas D. Moses handled the prosecution.
