Three Houston residents have been sentenced to prison for their involvement in armed robberies of commercial businesses, according to an announcement by U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani.

Thaddeaues Malik Williams, aged 26, Tydreic Deon Sublet, aged 24, and Andre Palmer-Gilliams, aged 33, were convicted after pleading guilty on various dates in 2023. The sentences were handed down by U.S. District Judge George Hanks. Williams received a sentence of 199 months in federal prison, Sublet was sentenced to 233 months, and Gilliams received a sentence of 210 months. Each will also serve three years of supervised release following their imprisonment.

The criminal activities began on July 1, 2019, when the trio entered Rice Village Diamonds while dressed as construction workers and used firearms to steal jewelry from display cases. A Gatorade bottle left at the scene helped authorities identify them.

Their second robbery occurred on August 14, 2019, at Woodforest National Bank inside Gallery Furniture. During this incident, Sublet pointed a firearm at customers and disarmed a security officer while Williams demanded cash from tellers after jumping over the counter.

Authorities responded promptly and pursued the suspects as they attempted to flee in a vehicle. The chase concluded with the vehicle crashing into a ditch near a residential area; however, the suspects fled on foot but were later apprehended by authorities who recovered firearms and stolen money.

The individuals remain in custody awaiting transfer to a Bureau of Prisons facility that is yet to be determined.

The investigation was conducted by the Houston Police Department alongside the FBI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jill Jenkins Stotts led the prosecution efforts in this case.
