Jada Marie Ray, a resident of Poteau, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to six months in prison for distributing fentanyl. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma confirmed the sentencing.

The charge was based on an investigation conducted by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, the District 16 Drug Task Force, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Ray admitted guilt on July 23, 2024. Investigators reported that she distributed twenty pills containing fentanyl on January 5, 2023.

Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the case at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Ray will be held by the U.S. Marshals Service until she is transferred to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve her sentence without parole eligibility.

The prosecution was led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jordan Howanitz.
