Beau Don Morton, a 42-year-old resident of Muldrow, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to two concurrent 30-month prison terms for federal drug and firearm-related offenses. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced the sentencing following Morton's guilty plea on June 3, 2024.

The charges stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives alongside the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office. During a search warrant executed at Morton's residence on April 6, 2022, law enforcement officers discovered methamphetamine, heroin, amphetamine tablets, fentanyl tablets, syringes, digital scales, and an AR-15-style firearm with loaded magazines.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), which aims to reduce violent crime and gun violence through collaboration between law enforcement agencies and communities. The program emphasizes building trust within communities and supporting organizations that work to prevent violence.

Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the hearing in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Morton will remain in custody until he is transported to a designated facility within the United States Bureau of Prisons system to serve his non-paroleable sentence.

The prosecution was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Edith Singer and Rachel Geizura.
