Thomas Franklin Wilson, a 29-year-old Tucson resident also known as "Tee Woopin," has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for distributing fentanyl. This sentencing was handed down by United States District Judge Rosemary Márquez. Wilson will also serve five years of supervised release following his imprisonment.

Wilson pleaded guilty on March 13, 2024, to the charge of distributing fentanyl, which led to the overdose death of a 17-year-old in April 2021. The incident involved Wilson selling 13 pills to the teen and her friend, resulting in the teen's death from fentanyl toxicity.

The investigation was carried out by Homeland Security Investigations, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Tohono O’odham Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Stefani Hepford from the District of Arizona in Tucson oversaw the prosecution.
