United States Attorney Delia L. Smith announced the sentencing of Niah Henry, a 35-year-old resident of St. Thomas, for cocaine distribution charges. Chief District Judge Robert Molloy sentenced Henry to six months in prison followed by four years of supervised release after Henry pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Court documents reveal that on December 6, 2023, Henry sold cocaine to an undercover agent during a joint operation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Task Force, and the Virgin Islands Police Department. The investigation identified Henry as part of a network distributing narcotics in the Red Hook area near Ivanna Eudora Kean High School in St. Thomas.

The case was investigated by the DEA, High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Task Force, and the Virgin Islands Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Cherrisse R. Woods.
