Pleasant Grove judicial nominating commission schedules meeting for new judge selection

Pleasant Grove, Utah—The Pleasant Grove Judicial Nominating Commission has organized a meeting on December 5, 2024, to evaluate applications for a justice court judge position in Pleasant Grove, Utah. This role is intended to fill the vacancy left by Judge Randy Birch, who resigned in March. The meeting will commence at 9:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove City Hall, located at 70 South 100 East in Pleasant Grove.

The initial segment of the meeting is designated for public comments regarding issues facing the Utah judiciary and potential improvements to the system. Public comments are scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. After this period, the meeting will be closed for commission members to review applications for the open position.
