The North Dakota Court System has announced a job opening for an Electronic Court Recorder/Transcriptionist. The position is based in Bismarck, ND, and offers an annual salary of $51,900. It is a full-time role within the South Central Judicial District Court Judge Chambers.

Applicants are expected to have strong technology and grammar skills to make verbatim records of trials and proceedings using audio recording equipment. The role involves various responsibilities such as accurately recording court proceedings, transcribing records unless prepared by third parties, performing clerking duties in courtrooms, preparing official transcripts, coordinating meetings for judges' schedules, providing secretarial support to district judges or referees, maintaining office supplies and law libraries among others.

This position requires specialized experience due to its unique administrative support services directly provided to referees or district judges compared to other administrative roles within the court system. Travel within the district and occasionally outside it is required as part of the job duties.
