A panel of judges from the Minnesota Court of Appeals conducted a session at Central High School in St. Paul on April 24. The three-judge panel, comprising Judges Michelle Larkin, Diane Bratvold, and Jennifer Frisch, heard oral arguments in the case of Jill Marie Zetterwall vs. State of Minnesota (Case A23-1525).
The event was part of a special traveling program aimed at educating students about the judicial process. Over 125 students attended the proceedings and participated in a subsequent question-and-answer session. Additionally, nearly two dozen students contributed as guides, ambassadors, stage crew members, and student media representatives.
The Court of Appeals frequently holds oral arguments in various communities throughout Minnesota to promote access to justice. This occasion marked the second instance where the court convened at a high school under this initiative.
