Honorable Steven B. Gould Justice | Maryland Judiciary Website

The deadline for filing petitions concerning the 2022 legislative districting plan in Maryland is approaching. February 10, 2022, is the last day for registered voters to file their petitions if they believe the plan is invalid.

The Court of Appeals of Maryland has updated its original order from January 28, 2022. Petitioners who do not have legal representation are now required to submit paper copies of their petitions directly to the court. Meanwhile, those who are registered users of Maryland Electronic Courts (MDEC) or have legal representation must continue to file electronically via MDEC.

The court has emphasized that there will be no extensions beyond this deadline. Any petitions submitted after this date will be dismissed.

For further details and documents related to this case, individuals can visit the Court of Appeals web page where the scheduling order and other relevant information are available.
