The sentencing hearing for Jarrod Warren Ramos, involved in the case "State of Maryland v. Jarrod Warren Ramos," will take place on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at 9 a.m. The proceedings will be held in Courtroom 4C at the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, located at 8 Church Circle, Annapolis, MD.

Hon. Michael Wachs will preside over the hearing. Media representatives planning to cover the event must adhere to the Security/Media Order specific to this trial.

Due to administrative orders from the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals and ongoing health protocols, seating in Courtroom 4C is limited. Face masks are required within the courthouse premises. The court has reserved seats for representatives from both the Capital Gazette and Baltimore Sun; additional media members may be accommodated if space allows.

Electronic devices are prohibited inside the courtroom during proceedings. However, a designated media room known as the "Historic Courtroom" on the second floor will serve as a workspace for media personnel. This room offers a live closed-circuit audio-video feed of the hearing.

In accordance with Maryland Code, Criminal Procedure § 1-201, recording or broadcasting criminal proceedings is strictly forbidden. Photography and video or audio recording inside courthouse facilities are also prohibited under Maryland Judiciary policy.

Media interviews cannot occur within courthouse grounds but may take place outside. The clerk's office at Anne Arundel County provides public access to case documents through kiosks available locally and statewide via Maryland Electronic Courts (MDEC), excluding certain counties yet to implement MDEC.

Public Wi-Fi is accessible within courthouse areas; however, no special parking arrangements have been made for media attendees who must comply with local parking rules without obstructing public pathways or spaces.
