The Anne Arundel Circuit Court Drug Court is set to commemorate National Drug Court Month with a ceremony on May 24, 2021. This event will honor the 50 individuals who have graduated from the program under COVID-19 restrictions. Notably, this marks the first in-person ceremony since December 2019.

The drug court program aims to assist adult offenders whose criminal activities are linked to addiction. It offers intensive supervision, treatment, and judicial monitoring. Since its inception in November 2005, the program has seen a total of 345 graduates.

Presiding over the ceremony will be Judge Stacy W. McCormack of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County. Sylvester “Tony” Conn, Director of Programs for the Maryland Community Health Initiative, will also be present. Graduates will attend with their families and friends.

The graduation is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. on Monday at the outdoor basketball courts of Pip Moyer Recreation Center located at 273 Hilltop Lane in Annapolis, MD.
