The Maryland Court of Appeals has issued two administrative orders concerning the admission to the Maryland Bar. One order instructs the State Board of Law Examiners to proceed with the administration of the October 2020 remote bar examination as previously scheduled. The second order offers an alternative for those who had registered for this examination but choose not to participate at this time.
Eligible applicants can seek special authorization for temporary supervised practice of law in Maryland, following conditions outlined in the administrative order. These orders and application forms for special authorization are available on the Maryland Judiciary’s website.
