Maryland Judiciary to discuss court impacts and reopening plans amid COVID-19

Top officials from the Maryland Judiciary, along with criminal justice partners, are set to engage in a virtual briefing concerning the impact of COVID-19 on courts and the broader criminal justice system. The Maryland Judiciary is also expected to outline its new phased reopening plan for the state's court system.

The hearing will be conducted online, with access provided through a livestream link.

Participants include Hon. Mary Ellen Barbera, Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals; Hon. Laura Ripken, Administrative Judge for the Fifth Judicial Circuit and Chair of the Conference of Circuit Judges; Hon. John P. Morrissey, Chief Judge of the District Court of Maryland; and Pamela Harris, Maryland State Court Administrator.
