Jury selection for the trial of William Porter in the State of Maryland is set to commence on November 30, 2015. The process will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will be overseen by Judge Barry G. Williams at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, located in the Clarence M. Mitchell, Jr., Courthouse.
Media representatives interested in attending must secure a reserved seat by contacting the Maryland Judiciary’s Office of Communications and Public Affairs via email. Requests should include personal details such as names, media outlet affiliation, and contact information. Seating is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
For those unable to secure a seat in Courtroom 400, an overflow room with live audio/video feed will be available in Courtroom 406. A designated media room where electronic devices can be used is also provided; however, Wi-Fi access is not available within the courthouse.
Parking restrictions around both courthouses will be enforced during jury selection, with a staging area for media trucks at City Hall Plaza. Media representatives are reminded to adhere to all protocols regarding security and electronic device usage as outlined in the Security/Media Protocol Order (Jury Selection).
