The Prince George's County Circuit Court and District Court have announced updates regarding their operations. The Circuit Court in Upper Marlboro will be fully operational on Monday, March 9. This includes all sections of the courthouse building, the Judiciary Services Building, and the ADR unit. The Circuit Court Clerk’s Office will maintain its usual business hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Upper Marlboro location of the District Court remains closed on Monday but is expected to reopen on Tuesday. Cases scheduled during the closure will be rescheduled, with notifications sent via U.S. mail.

The Hyattsville District Court at 4990 Rhode Island Avenue continues to operate normally. Filings for the District Court must be made in person at this location until Upper Marlboro reopens.

Cases involving INTERIM protective orders originally set for March 5th or 6th will now be heard on March 9th at their original times and courtrooms. FINAL peace orders canceled due to snow on those dates are rescheduled for March 10th.

Mental Health Court cases initially scheduled for March 5th or March 10th will take place on March 9th at the Prince George’s County Detention Center. Walk-in cases affected by closures are rescheduled for March 10th, with notification of new times provided by phone.

New domestic violence petitions can currently be filed at either the Circuit Court in Upper Marlboro or Hyattsville District Court until further notice.
