The Prince George's County Courthouse in Upper Marlboro will remain closed on Friday, February 20, due to damage from burst water pipes that led to an electrical outage. The closure affects both the District Court and Circuit Court in Upper Marlboro, resulting in no trials being held on that day.

District Court bond hearings will proceed at the Hyattsville location at 1:15 p.m., while Circuit Court bond hearings are scheduled at the Prince George’s County detention center at 11:00 a.m. New domestic violence petitions can be filed at the Hyattsville court.

The Circuit Court Judiciary Services Building and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Unit in the County Administration Building will operate as usual to assist the public.

Repair crews are currently working to fix the damage and restore power at the courthouse, but it is unclear when these repairs will be completed.
