The Circuit Court for Prince George's County will host its 5th Annual Veterans Appreciation Ceremony and Muster on Thursday, May 22, at 9:30 a.m. The event will take place at the Prince George’s County Courthouse located at 14735 Main St., Upper Marlboro.
Judge Sheila R. Tillerson Adams, Administrative Judge for Prince George’s County and the Seventh Judicial Circuit, stated, "We are so pleased that this has grown to become a much-anticipated commemorative celebration for our veterans of this county. Please join us for this year’s celebration as we honor our wounded warriors and pause to thank those who have dedicated their lives to our country and county."
She added that "Prince George’s County is very proud of the outstanding men and women who serve our county and our country. This ceremony is a way for us all to gather to give thanks for their service and honor them for their selfless dedication."
The ceremony will be held on the lawn of the historic Duvall Wing of the courthouse. The United States Air Force Band along with a vocalist will participate in the celebration. Attendees can enjoy light refreshments before the ceremony begins.
Veterans from Prince George's County are invited to contribute photos and information about their service to be featured in a video presentation during the event. Submissions should be made by May 16 via the Prince George’s County website or directly through www.annualveteransmuster.org.
