Attorney General Kris Mayes has announced that the State Grand Jury in Arizona has returned indictments related to an investigation into a fake elector scheme. The individuals named as defendants in the indictment include Kelli Ward, Tyler Bowyer, Nancy Cottle, Jacob Hoffman, Anthony Kern, James Lamon, Robert Montgomery, Samuel Moorhead, Lorraine Pellegrino, Gregory Safsten, and Michael Ward.
Additional defendants have been indicted but their names are redacted from the released copy. An unredacted version of the indictment will be made available once all defendants have been served.
The charges against these individuals include fraud, forgery, and conspiracy. These charges are classified as class 2, 4, and 5 felonies.
It is important to note that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law and convicted by a jury of their peers.
