The Guardianship Monitoring Program is organizing two online seminars for professionals working with vulnerable adults. These sessions, conducted via Zoom, require registration but are free of charge. Participants will receive a confirmation email with a unique link to join upon registering.

On November 15, 2024, the seminar "Individual Justice Plans" will be presented by Protection & Advocacy from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interested individuals can register at the provided link.

A second seminar on "Social Security Payee Audits," also presented by Protection & Advocacy, is scheduled for November 22, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Registration details are available through the given link.

Both events have been approved for one Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit by the State Bar Association. The seminars aim to address specific issues related to vulnerable adults.

The "Individual Justice Plans" session focuses on understanding behaviors associated with disabilities that might be misinterpreted as criminal activities. The process helps identify at-risk behaviors and establish support systems to prevent involvement in the criminal justice system or assist in sentencing alternatives and re-entry planning.

The "Social Security Payee Audits" session marks the seventh year of Representative Payee Reviews conducted nationwide by the P&A network on behalf of the Social Security Administration. This training provides an overview of the review process and discusses best practices, referrals, and service improvements for beneficiaries.
