Attorney General Michelle Henry has announced efforts to locate consumers eligible for restitution following a settlement with Vision Property Management. The case involved illegal rent-to-own arrangements in Pennsylvania. The Office of Attorney General is reaching out to individuals who were part of "rent to own" or "agreement for deed" arrangements with Vision Property Management or its subsidiaries between 2011 and 2019. Those who have not received a home deed or communication from the office are encouraged to contact them.

According to the settlement, restitution may be available for these consumers. Individuals who believe they qualify should contact the Office of Attorney General at 1-800-441-2555 or visit www.attorneygeneral.gov before November 15, when the distribution list is expected to be finalized.

The restitution funds stem from consent decrees involving certain Vision companies and Archway Community Properties related to a lawsuit filed in 2019. Additionally, approximately 250 consumers have been deeded homes under "rent to own" contracts with Vision Property Management as ordered by the Allegheny County Common Pleas Court. These funds are not intended for those already deeded homes.
