The South Salt Lake Judicial Nominating Commission has organized a meeting for November 13, 2024. The purpose of the meeting is to review applications for a justice court judge position that will serve South Salt Lake. This vacancy arises as Judge Ryan Richards plans to resign in December. The meeting is set to commence at 11:00 a.m. at the South Salt Lake City Hall, located at 220 East Morris Avenue in South Salt Lake, Utah.
Initially, the meeting will be open for public comment on issues affecting the Utah judiciary and potential improvements to the system. This session is scheduled from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Afterward, the commission will close the meeting to examine applications for the judge position.
