Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Cyber Crime Unit has arrested a 41-year-old man from Iota, Charles Wayne Timmons, on charges related to indecent behavior with a juvenile. The arrest took place on November 6, 2024. Timmons faces two counts of violating LA R.S. 14:81 Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and two counts of LA R.S. 14:81.3 Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor.

The arrest followed a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, leading to a joint investigation involving the Cyber Crime Unit, the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office, and Homeland Security Investigations.

Attorney General Liz Murrill stated, "If you harm our kids you're going to jail."

Authorities believe Timmons may have communicated with other juveniles in the area. They are seeking assistance from communities in Acadia and Jefferson Davis Parishes to provide any relevant information.

Timmons is currently held at the Acadia Parish Jail with bond details pending as the investigation continues.
