Attorney General Todd Rokita has issued a consumer alert to residents of Indiana regarding several products that were recalled in January. These recalls, as reported by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, highlight potential safety hazards associated with certain items.
"January should be full of hope and positivity – not anxiety or concern about your purchased products," stated Attorney General Rokita. He urged consumers to "stop using recalled items immediately and pursue resolution from the manufacturer."
The list of recalled products includes Bokser Home mattress pads, which pose a fire hazard and violate federal flammability regulations. Home Design's upholstered beds have been recalled due to fall and injury risks. Boot Royalty men's leather work boots present a crush hazard, while H.H. Brown Shoe Company's Redeemer work boots have been flagged for injury concerns. Additionally, UBBCARE play yard mattresses sold on Amazon.com are being recalled due to suffocation risks for infants and violations of crib mattress safety regulations.
Attorney General Rokita advises consumers who suspect they own a recalled product to cease usage immediately, check the recall notice, and follow any instructions provided for returning or replacing the item.
