Attorney General Todd Rokita has introduced a new initiative called "Eyes on Education," a transparency portal designed to enhance parental involvement in their children's education. The platform allows parents and students to submit and view materials they consider potentially inappropriate in schools.

Attorney General Rokita expressed concerns about the educational content, stating, “As I travel the state, I regularly hear from students, parents and teachers about destructive curricula, policies or programs in our schools.” He emphasized the need for children to focus on fundamental education rather than divisive ideologies.

The portal already features several examples of materials submitted by users. These include a gender support plan from Clark-Pleasant Community School Corp., which advises faculty against disclosing a student's gender identity without consent; a pride flag with a Black Lives Matter symbol displayed in Kokomo; a Carmel Clay survey querying students on political beliefs; and other educational content from Martinsville High School and Penn Harris Madison School Corporation.

The Office of the Attorney General plans to investigate submissions that may violate Indiana law using tools such as public records requests. Findings will be published on the portal. The platform is open for submissions related to K-12 classrooms as well as colleges and universities within Indiana.

Attorney General Rokita's efforts aim at empowering parents through various initiatives, including the Parents’ Bill of Rights. The new portal aligns with this mission by providing a space for educators to report objectionable materials as well.

To participate, individuals can visit in.gov/attorneygeneral, select ‘Eyes on Education,’ choose their school corporation, and upload relevant documents. Submissions will be reviewed and published periodically.
