Atlanta, January 22, 2024 – The Supreme Court of Georgia's Chief Justice Michael P. Boggs is set to deliver the State of the Judiciary address on February 7 at 11 a.m. Eastern. This will be his second address to the Georgia General Assembly.
Chief Justice Boggs plans to discuss several key issues, including the need for improved judicial security and workforce development challenges within the judicial system. He will also highlight the progress state trial courts are making in clearing case backlogs and emphasize the commitment of judges and court staff across Georgia to uphold the rule of law and improve justice administration.
The joint session with both the House and Senate will occur in the House Chambers of the Capitol. Media representatives will receive an embargoed copy of Chief Justice Boggs' remarks before his address on Wednesday morning.
