Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Cyber Crime Unit has apprehended a Sorrento resident, Jayden McConnell, on charges related to juvenile pornography and sexual abuse of an animal. The arrest took place on April 16.
McConnell, aged 20 and residing on Hackberry Street in Sorrento, faces multiple charges including "LA R.S. 14:81.1 Pornography Involving Juveniles (Felony) 30 Counts" and "LA R.S. 14:89.3 Sexual Abuse of an Animal (Felony) 1 Count."
The investigation began following a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. It was conducted jointly by the Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Cyber Crime Unit, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations.
McConnell is currently held at the Ascension Parish Jail as investigations continue.
