Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Cyber Crime Unit has apprehended a man from Jena on charges of possessing child pornography and sexually abusing animals. The suspect, Curtis Webb, aged 33, residing on John Lane in Jena, Louisiana, faces multiple counts under state law.
Webb has been charged with three counts of possession of child pornography involving children under the age of 13 and 100 counts of sexual abuse of animals. The investigation was initiated by the Caldwell Parish Sheriff's Office, which then sought assistance from the Attorney General's office. "The suspect was already in jail and we added the charges," stated an official involved in the case.
The arrest followed a collaborative investigation involving the Attorney General's Cyber Crime Unit along with law enforcement agencies from Caldwell and Lincoln Parishes. Webb is currently held at the Caldwell Parish Correctional Center without incident. Authorities have indicated that their investigation remains ongoing.
