Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Cyber Crime Unit has arrested a man in Jena, Louisiana, on charges of possession of child pornography and sexual abuse of animals. Curtis Webb, 33, was apprehended for allegedly violating state laws concerning these offenses.
Webb faces three counts under LA R.S. 14:81.1 for possession of child pornography involving children under the age of 13. Additionally, he is charged with 100 counts under LA RS 14:89.3 for sexual abuse of animals.
The Caldwell Parish Sheriff's Office initiated the investigation and sought assistance from the Attorney General's office. According to a statement, "The suspect was already in jail and we added the charges."
This arrest follows an investigation by multiple agencies including Attorney General Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit, Caldwell Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Webb was booked into the Caldwell Parish Correctional Center without incident. Authorities have indicated that the investigation remains ongoing.
