Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Cyber Crime Unit has arrested a Hammond resident for several sex crimes against children. The arrest took place on Thursday, April 4.
William Blake Porter, born on April 3, 1991, faces charges including first-degree rape of a child under the age of 13 and possession of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.
The arrest was made following a collaborative investigation involving the Attorney General's Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office. Porter is currently held at the Tangipahoa Parish Prison.
Authorities have stated that the investigation is still ongoing.
