Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost has filed a lawsuit against a couple from Marysville, Ohio, alleging they failed to deliver promised services and provided subpar workmanship. The suit, filed in Union County Common Pleas Court, accuses Ransom and Maggie Kulasa and their business, MBR, of accepting payments for window and door installations without completing the agreed-upon work.

The legal action follows complaints from 24 consumers across six central Ohio counties who reported issues with the quality of work or non-delivery of services. "Taking money and giving nothing in return is wrong, plain and simple," stated Yost. "A business contract means something, and in this case, it means they have to pay up."

The Attorney General’s Office is pursuing over $81,000 in restitution for the affected consumers. Additionally, civil penalties are being sought along with a permanent injunction to prevent further violations of Ohio's consumer protection laws by the couple or their business.

Residents of Ohio who suspect unfair or deceptive business practices are advised to reach out to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office via www.ohioprotects.org or by calling 800-282-0515.
