The California Supreme Court is set to hold a special oral argument session on October 9 in Fresno. This marks the court's second outreach session under Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero and the first time since 2010 that it will hear arguments in Fresno. The event aims to engage students from various educational institutions, including high schools, an elementary school, and a law school.
Students attending the session will have the opportunity to interact with the justices by asking questions about their roles and the judicial process before observing oral arguments for cases scheduled that day. Schools participating include Buchanan High School, Bullard High School, Clovis High School, Clovis North High School, Clovis East High School, Clovis West High School, Coalinga High School, Justin Garza High School, Reedley High School, Roosevelt High School, Maple Creek Elementary, and San Joaquin College of Law.
The session will be hosted at the Fifth District Court of Appeal courtroom in Fresno located at 2424 Cesar Chavez Boulevard.
