The U.S. Open Government Secretariat, part of the Government Services Administration (GSA), is inviting public comments for the development of the Sixth U.S. Open Government National Action Plan (NAP). This initiative is part of the United States' commitment as a founding member of the Open Government Partnership (OGP). The GSA seeks input from various stakeholders, including those in public, private, advocacy, not-for-profit, and philanthropic sectors. Contributions are also encouraged from state, local, tribal, and territorial governments.

The OGP is an international collaboration between governments and civil society organizations aimed at enhancing democracy through open government principles. Members are tasked with creating national and local action plans every two to three years to promote transparency across all government levels.

Feedback from both the public and agency personnel is vital to ensure that the NAP aligns with American citizens' needs and priorities. To participate or learn more about NAP 6, interested parties can refer to the Request for Information (RFI), which will remain open for comments until November 12, 2024. Additional details about past NAPs and the Open Government Secretariat are available on the GSA's website.
